Precipitation and soil moisture monitoring
With 6 stations installed in different parts of the Uruguayan territory, we have collected rainfall and soil moisture data autonomously for over a year and a half, thanks to our automatic data transmission powered by solar energy. Today, we have detailed information about the rainfall and the water absorption level of the earth. This data allows the Ministry to predict the growth of pastures and inform rural producers about the optimal way to rotate livestock on their fields, improving the profits of their businesses.

Automation of the uruguayan pluviometric network
We have supplied 100 fully autonomous rainfall stations scattered throughout the country, providing accurate and real-time information of rainfall nationwide. This has greatly facilitated the collection of data for subsequent analysis to INUMET professionals and has allowed them to improve their predictions and make decisions in possible risky scenarios, enabling also an accurate meteorological alert emission.

Wind and tide monitoring
Today, wind speed and direction data is collected autonomously at three points in the bay, as well as tidal level and speed and direction of the currents at the entrance of the port. This data is transmitted through the RTU+ to our Cloud platform, where they are presented in a custom-developed dashboard in real time to help the workers in their daily decision making.

Atmospheric conditions monitoring in high voltage lines.
We have installed compact and autonomous weather stations in 8 transmission stations. They are operating and monitoring meteorological parameters such as wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation and precipitation. Our devices collect data from all sensors and communicate it directly to the UTEs network in order to visualize the data in their own control system.
Our monitoring system allows a deep understanding of the operation and routines that integrate the infrastructure of the water services. It also makes possible an optimal adjustment of their sizing and daily performance to meet the needs of consumers. In addition, we provide solutions for monitoring and controlling water wells, aiming at intelligent risk management and loss prevention due to resource scarcity.
OSE (Water Utility Company)
Intelligent water distribution systems
Today, OSE has more than 300 of our devices installed in different points of the metropolitan water distribution network, many of them in underground flooding chambers, monitoring flows and pressures as well as acting on regulating valves to control the pressure in critical points of the network. RTU + equipment collects sensor data and communicates it to the OSEs network system through the GPRS or 3G network. The processing of the information collected in the different points allows to detect deviations in the operation of the network in advance, which supposes a substantial improvement in the business processes from the point of view of its optimization, but also from the service vision.
We offer different solutions with the aim of optimizing the use of energy and making its control more practical. Using our products in conjunction with energy meters and actuators, we offer real-time consumption monitoring and fully remote and automatable control.
Remote monitoring and control of billboards lighting
Thanks to more than 70 devices connected in Montevideo and other Uruguayan cities, JCDecaux knows in real time the operating conditions of the luminaires, as well as automatize and remotely control their operation. It can also identify faults or thefts of current in real time, since it receives alarms in such cases, reducing the response time to correct critical conditions of the facilities and improving the quality of service.
Using our powerful hardware and software in combination with specialized sensors in crop monitoring and environmental parameters, we can generate a wireless sensor network allowing to monitor any remote environment. In addition, it enables greater operational efficiency, since knowing the state of the crops facilitates the precise and sustainable use of resources, fertilizers and irrigation.
Greenhouses crop monitoring
We deployed a very diverse sensor network in the Santa Ana greenhouse at UPM. Today we are monitoring environment temperature and humidity, soil moisture and temperature, leaf moisture and temperature, stem diameter, wind speed and direction, atmospheric pressure, relative humidity and solar radiation. All these parameters allow to check different microclimatic conditions to prevent diseases, optimize irrigation, measure the flow of water on the soil surface, study temperature differences between plants, prevent fungi, investigate environmental effects on the crop, etc. All the data is sent and stored in our platform database, available to UPM personnel through a web interface with custom design and functionalities.
The main objective of our solutions within this domain, is to serve as a useful complement to the existing systems, allowing to prevent failures and easily detect their origin, gain greater security in the processes and to be able to access all the critical information of the plant completely and remotely in real time.
The evolution of cold chains
We installed a refrigerator monitoring system that collects temperatures of different cold stores. The data is sent and registered in a database, accessible in real time, 24 hours a day. The system also has a set of rules that detects anomalies and reports them via mail and Telegram to the designated Urufarma staff. In addition to this, the whole consumption of the plant and the water used in the production processes is monitored.
Our traffic control products are installed in hundreds of points throughout Montevideo city and in large cities in the rest of the country. This solution provides automated and intelligent control of traffic lights, characterized by its robustness and safety, backed by years of operation.

Our smart traffic light controllers are installed and operating in several departments of Uruguay, such as Montevideo, Maldonado, San José, Salto and Treinta y Tres. Only in Montevideo, more than 300 devices have been operating continuously for the past 5 years, which guarantees and demonstrates the robustness and safety of their operation.
